Max and I had the chance to visit Disneyland a few weeks ago for the opening of Pixar Pier at Disney's California Adventure park. I wasn't sure what to expect as I hadn't been following the sneak previews or media releases prior to the opening.
If you loved Paradise Pier before the makeover, you'll love Pixar Pier. Overall it felt very similar to Paradise Pier but with more Pixar touches and details throughout. The highlight for us was the new Lamplight Lounge (review coming soon!) and the Incredicoaster. We were able to snag fast passes no problem for the Incredicoaster and walked up in the morning to put our name in for the Lamplight Lounge, so all things considered we were able to accomplish a lot for an opening weekend.
UP and Inside Out are two of my favorite Disney films, so it's fun to see a little more Pixar presence in the parks. Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff wasn't open yet when we went but you can read all the details for that shop here. Coming in 2019 are two new rides, the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Jesse's Critter Carousel. - read all about them here.
